Odbyły się dwie następne rundy europejskich MERC, tym razem zgodnie z tradycyjnym początkiem sezonu - w Portugalii i Francji. Jak zwykle, było fajnie, jak zwykle zjawiły się dziesiątki tysięcy kibiców, w Portugalii jak zwykle rzucali pomidorami i było nie do wytrzymania gorąco...................Dziwne - po tamtej stronie tęczy nie widać kryzysu. Wszyscy płaczą, jak im jest ciężko, ale ich ciężko to nasz luksus.

A jak było? My też jesteśmy tradycyjni, rundy MERC jak zwykle w języku Inglisz.

PORTUGAL - FIRST PART OF FAIRYTALE WON BY ERIKSSON

Andreas Eriksson has won the second round of the European Rallycross Championship here at Montalegre, Portugal.

The result is a fairytale for the MSE/Ford Team RS outfit, in only the second race with the new car. This morning in the warm up the engine blew in the Fiesta, leaving the team a race against time to change the unit. Missing the second heat, Eriksson was back out for the third, qualifying second for the B final, which he duly won, before a fantastic drive won him the A final.

“This morning when we had the problems even the kids were helping” said the Swede. “I can win anything when I’m in the right mood, on the third lap of the final I thought ‘I can win this’, so I did!”

Sverre Isachsen started the A final on pole, but as Eriksson took the Joker Sverre Isachsen, Ludwig Hunsbedt and Olivier Anne came together, slowing the trio down. As Isachsen took the Joker on the final lap, Eriksson nipped through to lead. Jean Luc Pailler drove a good race to finish third for the second event in a row.

It was a first time winner In Division One-A, Mats Lysen taking his first victory in the class. Olivier Bossard led into the first corner, but it was Mats Lysen who came out in front after Bossard was pushed wide. “I was on the inside. My speed was ok to take the lead. I am not happy with this action. It happens every time.” fumed the French driver.

Bossard finished the race second, after a big fight with David Johansson, the Frenchman taking the place in the final few corners. Mats Lysen was delighted afterwards “My first victory, and on my first time here. It is a very nice track and the spectators are all crazy!” said the young Norwegian, with a rare smile. For the second event in a row, Russian driver Timur Timerzyanov won the B final and finished sixth in the A final.

It was another new winner in the Division Two catagory, Norwegian Knut Borseth making the most of his pole position and taking the victory. Jos Sterkens shadowed the Fiesta driver all the way to the flag, with another newboy to the class Guino Kenis in third. In a class that is becoming more competitive, the top three cars were covered by just over a second as they crossed the finish line. Borseth said afterwards, “After the second heat today the car would not rev above 7,000 rpm. We do not know if it was the air pressure or what, so we will take the car back to England now before France.”


FRANCJA - CAŁKIEM POWAŻNY NAJAZD RUSKICH

“I think it was really close to a jump start, but it felt incredibly quick, I don’t think there was any wheelspin, the car just went forward like a rocketship!” said Ludvig Hunsbedt after winning the third round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship at Esay-Alençon in the Orne region of France today (May 10).
The Bergteamet Volvo driver qualified second on the grid for the A final but led the race from start to finish after making his superb start.
Until this point Norwegian Sverre Isachsen had dominated the event and put his name on pole position for the A final after setting fastest times in the first and second qualifying heats. In the final, however, Isachsen had no response to Hunsbedt’s pace and finished 2.5s behind his compatriot and completed a hat trick of second place finishes in the first three rounds of the championship.
Skoda’s Michael Jernberg ran third all the way, while the only passes of the race came from Citroën pairing Jussi Pinomäki and Kenneth Hansen, both of whom passed B final winner Guttorm Lindefjell’s Skoda Fabia to take fourth and fifth places. Carnage was the order of the day in the B and C finals, with both Koen Pauwels and Ole-Kristian Nottveitt having heavy crashes in their respective finals. Kevin Procter, Guttorm Lindefjell and Portugal winner Andreas Eriksson were also involved.

The 25,000-strong crowd at the event had its chance to cheer a home winner when Samuel Peu led the Division One-A (Super1600) A final from start to finish. Controlling the pace of the race to perfection, Peu took his first ERC event win in fine style, leading home Russian Timur Timerzyanov and round two winner Mats Lysen who passed Eric Guillemette’s similar Renault Clio to place third. Fifth was taken by Johan Larsson who finished his weekend on a high after failing to finish the first heat with driveshaft failure. B final winner Zdenek Cermak completed the list of finishers.

Division Two was won by Knut Børseth who beat pole man Guino Kenis to the first corner and was never challenged. Kenis then had a coming together with third place man Roman Castoral, allowing Patrick Mertens though to take second place, where he stayed until the flag. Castoral pulled off with steering damage and Kenis crashed half a lap later trying to pass Mertens. Fin Jokke Kallio finished third after winning the B final.

Ale to nie wszystko. W ubiegły weekend odbyła się kolejna runda wyjazdowa Mistrzostw Polski RC, podobnie jak i poprzednia, w Austrii. Pojechało 6 Sejaczy, Wicik, Starobrat, Dyjak i starszy Ludwiczak.

Zasadniczo to najlepszy wynik uzyskał Wicik, załapał się chłopak na podium. Ta runda obnażyła jednak słabości jego jako mało doświadczonego w RWD oraz niedoróbki w jego aucie. Ma nad tym chłopak pracować, aby jeszcze lepiej wypaść w MERC.

Tylko dlaczego na tych zawodach było pełno Austriaków i Czechów? Wszędzie się czyta i słyszy, jaki tam kaszan finansowy, Czesi masowo skaczą z okien z rozpaczy, Austriacy modlą się "cesarzu wróć", wszyscy zazdroszczą Polsce, ze ma najlepsze notowania ekonomiczne w makroregionie, a tymczasem.....................

Nie chce się nam o tym nawet pisać. Jak ktoś chce zaaspirować więcej kitu, to niech wejdzie na stronę głównej tuby propagandowej polskiego RC. A nam zostaje odmówienie kadisz.
